Visited for lunch, 8/29/16. Ordered the Turkey burger with a side salad. Burger came out black on the surface, burnt. I rejected it and was advised that the butter is put on the grill which causes the burnt look and the next time I asked to not have it grilled with butter. Replacement was better.
Wife's soup was creme bruela which came out very spicy and lumpy. That was replaced with a salad. End result was the entire meal was comp'd by management, no cost to us.
There is not one item on the menu that has a calorie count. That needs to change especially in Palm Coast with an older population.
We have visited twice in the past month or so. Great service. Food not so great. The portions are made to seem generous, but the plates are very small so the food is falling off the plate. First time I had a late breakfast. Eggs and hash browns were good, but toast was burnt and dry. Hubby had a burger which was just OK - hard to tell with all of the stuff on it. Second visit Hubby had pastrami. It was very stringy and tough and no spicy mustard (just yellow or Dijon). I had fried fish which was fair, but the french fries on both of our plates were not fresh - more liked warmed over and not even warm. For the price (which is not cheap) I doubt we will return.
Visited for lunch and the place was jammed and were seated after about 20 mins. Their menu is extensive and it was difficult to decide. We ordered chicken and waffles and the Yo Hala. The Yo Hala i slike French toast stuffed with bananas and cream cheese with syrup on top. It was nasty good LOL The chicken and waffles were also very good and came with a tasty sweet spicy sauce. The staff had their act together and kept up with the fast pace. Overall a great place that sure knocks the socks off Denny's.
Went with friends for lunch today. Grand opening was yesterday, March 14th. Very crowded at 1:30. Waited about 15 minutes outside on benches. Restaurant very clean. Metro Diner had Trainer associates from their other established restaurants assisting the newbie waiters and waitresses. Our waitess was professional and pleasant. Once we were seated, we gave our drink orders. The waitress asked if we would like flavored iced tea. Since I wasn't familiar with Lipton Tropical, I asked for a sample. I was given a small glassful. I really liked the flavor and ordered this as my drink. I selected a garden salad with broiled salmon. The tasty salad is a hefty portion, salmon cooked to perfection and I enjoyed it. One of my friends had the chicken salad in a beef tomato. She enjoyed her salad and brought half of it home. My other friend enjoyed her Philly Steak sandwich which also was cooked perfectly. The French fries were tasty as well. A doggie bag was given for this meal. All in all, we enjoyed our lunch and looking forward in returning to our newest restaurant in Palm Coast.
